Privacy & Data Protection Policy

This notice describes how we collect and use personal data about you, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Data Protection Act and any other national implementing laws, regulations and secondary legislation, as amended or updated from time to time, in the UK (‘Data Protection Legislation’).

Please read the following carefully to understand our practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.

We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified to enable us to provide you with the services you require, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

We may change this policy from time to time. You are advised to check the website or this policy to ensure that you are happy with any changes.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force on 25 May 2018. The GDPR introduces a change to the way in which data we hold is used, including:

• a new standard for consent which considerably restricts the use of consent as a justification for processing data

• new and extended data subject rights. This 'right to be informed' is a data controller's obligation to provide ‘fair processing information’, typically through a privacy notice such as the one enclosed and other methods, to the individuals whose personal data is being processed. It emphasises the need for transparency over how controllers use personal data

• a new 'accountability' requirement, under which we are required to demonstrate compliance with the GDPR by documenting data processing activities.

We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access the information (or to exercise any of your other rights).
